Welcome Home Harper!!!!

So, meet our new little daughter Harper Grace.  She is 2 1/2 years old and is from near Seoul Korea. She was originally adopted by a Korean American family from Houston, Texas but for personal reasons had to put her up gain for adoption. We were notified by our adoption agency about her and ultimately like Zoe, how do you say no.  So, within a week and 1/2 she found her way home to Nebraska. It took about a week to land on her name. Her original English name was Jenna Kaylen but we were encouraged to change it so Harper Grace it is.  Kind of a coincidence that we liked Grace and found out her given Korean name stood for Grace so it was meant to be. A few interesting points about Harper.  She is incredibly bright young girl.  She is observant and learns at a rapid pace.  Almost scary fast.  After just one time going in a hotel she knew which button to push to go up and down and also was able to locate our room without coaching.  she has only been in the United States for 4 months and knows her ABC's, can count to 20 and sings a number of songs in English.  She likes American fast food and has no problem letting us know when she is hungry. She has a big smiles and cute little dimples.  She gets along with he big brother Nate and hangs with her big sister Zoe.  By far her favorite English word is NO.  With Mommy being her second.  She says no for everything.  She has a favorite stuffed toy Trunko who only leaves her side when she eats, gets her diaper changed or when something more interesting catches her attention.  She is rough and tumble often times laughs when she falls when I expect her to cry.  She clearly has a big appetite and will not only finish her pate but will finish Zoe's if Zoe lets her. Below is a picture of Harper and Nathaniel which has quickly become one of a handful of my favorite pictures.  This was taken after Nathaniel's last State high school football game held in McCook, Nebraska.  Isn't she cute and love his smile! Welcome Harper we love adding you to the family!!!
